What a great day on Granbury!
Today, I had Donnie and Colby Jacobs on the boat for some father and son blue cat chasing, and man did the fish cooperate!

The fish started off hitting hard and steady. Colby was reeling all morning long, and was loading the livewell with 3lb to 7lb blues. By mid morning the bite had slowed and every fish that hit was biting super light.
We made a couple of moves, marking fish in 17′ to 2′ deep water. and then BAM! 7′ deep was where the One Eyed Monster was lurking!

Colby caught his new personal best, weighing 35lbs 5oz! This fish only had one eye, likely injured from a hook, long ago. But it was a fighter!

The big one was released and the others are going to the grease. All together Colby reeled in 17 blues today! All caught on cut shad, drum and bluegill.

Thanks for the trip guys and congratulations Colby on your lake Granbury trophy!
